Nowadays, several countries have policies to support entrepreneurship, with the aim of promoting the creation of new businesses, foster the development of innovations and strengthen existing businesses. These policies are increasingly considered as part of a set of policies to promote economic development. However, not always these policies achieve their goals.
To discuss this issue, IE/UFRJ, in partnership with IBMEC, is hosting the Third Conference of the International Consortium on Entrepreneurship, in November 2013. We hope to attract to this conference not only academics involved with studies on entrepreneurship, but also entrepreneurs of technology-based industries, such as the ICT sector, entrepreneurs in other sectors where entrepreneurship is essential for the development of new businesses and young people who wish to have their own business.
